Currys, a British electrical retailer, pioneered a viral marketing trend where older employees deliver Gen Z-style scripts on TikTok. In one video viewed 2.3 million times, an employee says, “It’s a brat summer at Currys, my guys.” This unconventional approach blends generational humor, increasing brand visibility and engagement among younger audiences.
The Royal Armouries museum in Leeds adapted the trend, having an older employee use Gen Z slang to describe historical exhibits. In a viral clip, he says, “Henry the Eighth is the original Rizzler. His codpiece hits different.” This creative strategy modernizes historical content, making it more appealing to younger audiences while maintaining the museum’s educational mission.
