Ideas For Determining Your Target Markets Needs

You may think that having a successful business is based around
how much marketing or advertising someone does, how well they
handle customer service, or some other reason. You may be
surprised to learn that having a profitable business can simply
come down to determining what your target market wants and what
their needs are.

Your target market is the group of people that you are
marketing your products and services to. Not everyone will want
to buy your product or service. For instance, your whole town
does not drive one type of car.

There are some people who prefer sporty sedans, and there are
some who want minivans, and there are others who want SUVs. And
then there are the people who want trucks, or motorcycles, or
what have you. The point is, different segments of the
population want and need different things.

To be successful, you will need to determine what your target
market wants and needs, and then you will want to provide it for
them. If you happen to be in your target market, you are off to
a good start. You can start thinking about the things you want.

Now, if you are not directly a part of your target market, you
can start off by putting yourself in their shoes. What do you
think they would want? Picture yourself living a day in their
life and imagine what types of products or services could make
their lives easier.

You can also study the competition. Look at other products
that are aimed at your target market and compare your products
or services. What features and benefits can you offer that will
give you an edge over the competition?

Try to find some websites that are dedicated to your target
market and spy on them through the websites’ forums. You can
learn a lot about your target market and what they are looking
for by using this tactic.

Don’t forget to simply ask your target market what they want.
You can create a form on your website that asks some basic
questions about their needs and what they would like to see in
the type of product or service you offer. Start asking your
visitors or the people on your mailing list to fill out the
questionnaire.

This is a great way to find out exactly what your target market
wants and needs. Once you have that data, you can create the
product or service to fill their needs. Since you already have
their names and email addresses (from when they filled out the
form in the first place), you can email them and let them know
when the new product is ready. This could be a great way to
jump start your sales.

Why You Should Always Have OTO Pages

OTO pages, or One Time Offer pages, are pages which present a
unique offer to a subscriber or customer when they are not
expecting it (unless they are fellow marketers!), in an attempt
to create the ultimate sense of urgency. Either take the offer
right now, or it will be gone for ever. As you can imagine,
these One Time Offer pages convert at a prodigious rate,
especially if the product is genuinely useful, and priced well
within the budget of the buyer.

Many marketers will use cross One Time Offers. If you have two
products priced exactly the same, which complement each other, a
good tactic is to use each product as a one time offer after the
purchase of the other one. This way, you will probably secure a
greater number of sales for the two products together, than you
would have done had you just offered the two for sale in the
usual way. Of course, this will only work if you have the right
kind of complimentary products, but if you do, give it a try.

One Time Offer pages also allow you to build a list with quick
pay per click traffic. If you set up an opt in box on a landing
page, which must also have content good enough to maintain a
good quality score, you can use pay per click advertising to
drive traffic to it. After the visitor opts in, he is taken to a
One Time Offer, which a certain percentage will take up. As long
as the money you are making from the One Time Offers is covering
the expense of the pay per click advertising, you can keep the
campaigns going, and even increase the number of campaigns and
the number of keywords you are targeting. Many marketers would
even be happy to take a slight loss if they knew they were
building a list that will convert, but that will depend on
cashflow. Bear in mind that these are non buying names you are
collecting, and these never convert as well as a list of buyers.

How to use OTOs to make money from freebie seekers

How to use OTOs to make money from freebie seekers

The One Time Offer is such a powerful means of improving conversions that you will want to incorporate it into as much of your marketing as possible, including when you are dealing with freebie seekers. The first and most obvious way of doing this is to have an OTO waiting for anyone who downloads a free ebook. To have any chance of success, the OTO will need to be for a fairly cheap offer. For a start, freebie seekers rarely turn out to be buyers of high ticket items, and secondly, many people will not have enough funds readily available in their PayPal account to buy anything expensive.

As well as offering a One Time Offer after giving a free ebook away, there is a way to use the OTO as a free list builder. If you can set up a squeeze box on a page which has other content on it to protect your quality score, then you can drive near instant traffic to it using pay per click advertising. This is not usually recommended as a list building tactic, as you are basically buying a list of non buyers, many of whom will not convert into buyers for you. One way you can try to get round this is to offer a One Time Offer to anyone who subscribes. If the take up on this offer is enough to allow you to cover your pay per click expenses, you are building a list cost free.

Another good time to hit a freebie seeker with a One Time Offer is when they have just watched a video presentation that you have offered for free. If you have given away some decent content, they may well be feeling in a mood to take advantage of something which will help them implement it. When a Camtasia video finishes, you can redirect the viewer to any page you choose. Make it a One Time Offer page, and a certain percentage of your freebie seekers will be converted to buyers.
