Here are some tips for creating an effective landing page for your business:

Make sure that the landing page represents your business well. Make sure that the messages are clear. If you are selling shoes, make sure that is clear from the landing page. Do not waste people’s time by confusing them. You do not just want people browsing, you want them to buy.

Add pizazz to your landing page by adding videos, rich graphics and animation. Just because you want your landing page to be simple and clear does not mean you have to fore go adding flashy details. You can still add graphics, animation, and other details that will make your readers go- wow! You just need to make sure that whatever detail you decide to add to your website, adds to the value of the landing page.

There is one thing you have to remember no matter how flashy you want your website to be- Have focus. You want each page of your website to have defined focus. You want to add pizazz to your web pages but you do not want to have too many things going on that people get confused as to what the page wants to convey. Make sure the landing page pulls your readers and explores your websites. If your client or reader finds that there are so many things going on in a page, enough to give him/her a headache then the reader will definitely click on that X at the upper right-hand corner of the page.

Make sure that all the web pages in your website have clear buttons and navigation signs. Making the website easy-to-navigate is very important. When websites are frustrating to navigate, you cannot expect readers to stay long. There are many other websites they can probably visit so you cannot expect them to deal with the problems of your website.

When you optimize your landing page, then you are working getting people to stay and buy from you. Search Engine Optimization, building links, article marketing and all your other online marketing efforts will ensure that people will discover your site. It is the work you put into your landing page that will entice those that have stumbled on your website to stay.

Make sure you hire a good web design and programming company who will implement intelligent design and Search Engine Optimization to your website from the very beginning.

If you own an online business and you work well with services and products then you already know that email marketing is one of the most important techniques of marketing. Whatever you do, either hiring a professional or doing it yourself, you need to enhance the results you get from your business marketing efforts and this can happen by sending out bulk emails to well targeted groups and individuals. Especially if you are a small business, this is even more crucial because it could be your main means of direct communication with your existing and potential clients. A few tips to bear in mind that can help your campaign are:

1.Lists: You have to track down all the groups and people who could be interested in your niche and products, as well as create a subscription list for your existing clients and those who visited your website and are interested probably in doing business with you. If you have good software that maintains and updates lists, that could be really easy.

2.Use the right text: HTML or plain text both actually depending on what is your strategy. HTML looks definitely more professional and gives you more possibilities in design, however some email services dont allow some users to read HTML so plain text should be also included, or given as an alternative, so as that your emails dont end up in the trash can even before they are read.

3.Templates: If you use some kind of software or if you are searching online, email marketing templates should be something you should find in abundance. Having multiple templates helps you create some very professional looking emails that can be enhanced with images or even multimedia and sent to subscribers or potential clients generating good results. Creativity is something you should have in mind, and the variety of templates can ensure that.

4.Feedback : Giving the customers the chance to rate the products and your services though the email campaign can prove to be a great plus for your company, because people will understand that you value their opinion and that you are interested in making your business better through their comments and reviews. This shows a certain professionalism that people will appreciate.

5.Personal Tone: This is important, especially for small businesses. Since you are not a colossal business of hundreds of employees, you can use some personal and very approachable tone to make an impression on the user and reader. Using the name of the recipient and writing in a friendly tone is something that people like, because it seems personalized and well targeted both professional and personal. If you can do some follow-up it would truly help because in this case clients see a one on one communication which makes them feel more at ease, and more valued.

There are no big secrets in email marketing, but if you do everything right following the rules and using your creativity and personal instinct and tone, you can make your small business thrive.

Online Marketing Promoting Your Promos

It doesn’t matter if your business is online or a traditional brick and mortar offline business - there are many Online Marketing techniques you can take advantage of. Your objective is to create buzz and raise awareness. You want to get people talking, get people excited about your upcoming promotions. If you think you can just flip the “sale” sign on and expect tons of people to be marching in your door think again. You have to first make them informed, and then excited about your promotions.

This is where your contact or email list is vital. The email list is the life-blood for Internet Marketers; its your biggest asset. Your success is really going to depend on the size and quality of this list. If you don’t have one - you have to start building it. This is important even for those with an offline businesses. Almost everyone has an email address, and notifications about upcoming promotions is something people would appreciate. Who doesn’t want to save money!

With your email list you can start generating a buzz by letting them know about your upcoming promotion - but don’t reveal it all!

You want to tell them just enough to raise their curiosity and interest. Let them know to mark their calendars, save the date. Talk about outstanding savings… or launch of a new product, etc… whatever it is you are promoting. Never been done. Unheard of prices… clearing inventory… you get the point. Get people talking. Get people excited. Generate BUZZZ!

You can use your promotions to expand your email list by using give-aways. Everyone likes to win free things - well put your email list to work for you. Offer everyone on your list the opportunity to win a prize. You want to make the prize compelling, attractive but also something you can afford. Imagine if you were to offer a free laptop or a $250 dollar gift certificate to the winner. I think this would sark some interest and have many of your customers clambering to bring you new customers and new leads. Be sure to use a tool like 10tier.com to track leads. Wouldn’t the increase in customers and leads be worth the price of the give-away? What a great effective investment.

Don’t forget to send out a final email or announcement when the promotion has begun. Today’s the day! Then, if you’ve done your job well, you sit back and watch your product fly off your shelf!

Remember to use social media sites as a way to get the word out also. If you use sites like Facebook or Twitter - update your status with teasers to get people paying attention. Again - don’t give away too much details; they will be coming soon!

“Promoting your promotions requires some out-of-the-box thinking, some creativity and possibly a little bit of investment. The options are endless but the ROI can really pay off” stated Ginutis Sipas during a NYC Wordpress Roundtable event last month. He revealed some of his online marketing strategies which generated a huge traffic surge on one of his latest website ventures, resulting in a 600% ROI on his marketing campaign efforts!

The bottom line is that online marketing is something every business needs to take advantage of. It’s your gateway to the largest market in the world!
