What sort of products work best for OTOs?

So, having worked out that one time offers are a good way of
maximizing our profit potential, and also of collecting
subscribers for our lists, we now need to work out exactly which
are the best types of products to put before potential buyers.
The key point here is that we are talking about an offer which
will not appear again. This is far more likely to strike a chord
within the potential buyer if the product has something to make
it unique or special in some way. You don’t want your potential
customer to say “It doesn’t matter if I miss out on this, there
are several other people selling these anyway”. This means, of
course, that a popular affiliate program product will not work
as an OTO. There will be too many other people selling the exact
same product.

The OTO also has to be priced at the cheaper end of the market.
The product will be presented to the reader as a surprise, and
every marketer knows that it takes more effort and persuasion to
sell a high ticket item than it does to sell one at a much lower
price. With an OTO, you just don’t have the time to do the kind
of selling job needed for a major purchase. The OTO needs to be
a product which the buyer can make an impulse choice to buy
without feeling a glut of buyer’s remorse afterwards. Short
reports with high value information are ideal for One Time
Offers, as are video and audio products which can have a higher
perceived value.

If you do decide to go with an audio product, or especially a
video product, it is a good idea to include a PDF transcript
with screenshots. Not everyone likes video, and those that don’t
are usually vociferous in their opinion. Offering the PDF for
easy reference may be enough to tempt them to buy if the
information is important to them. A One Time Offer needs to have
instant appeal, so the headline needs to get right to the heart
of the reader’s emotions. You only have a short time to make
that crucial impact.

How To Get Rich Quick On The Web It Takes Faith

Promoting an internet marketing program is a tough game. Once you have selected an internet marketing strategy and you have enough desire, the next ingredient to add is FAITH. If you are lacking in this characteristic do not worry, most of us are. Believe it or not FAITH is a state of mind that can be created through affirmation or self talk. You need this state of mind to be able to persevere through a 90 day initial period of implementing internet marketing techniques.

As in previous articles, I must be responsible for a bit of common sense here. How do you define “get rich quick?” Get real here. I’m personally working with two guys right now that were in debt up to their eyeballs in 2008 and now earn five to six figures per month. Does that fit your definition of “get rich quick”? Please be realistic, these two guys are the exception, not the rule. But, if you are willing to work hard and educate yourself, you can do well within a year or two. Maybe even great. OK, let us continue…

FAITH is simply a state of mind to be induced through auto-suggested affirmations mixed with positive emotions. FAITH is often referred to as the “evidence of the unseen.” If you need to develop strong FAITH to believe in your not-yet-materialized goals, begin an internal campaign. One of mixing positive emotions (your dream goals or dream lifestyle) with positive self affirmations and FAITH will begin to emerge. This strong FAITH has to be a part of any internet marketing strategy.

The practical application as it relates to your internet marketing business can happen naturally. As your confidence in your web marketing ability grows, you begin to develop a fertile mind for positive self talk. Your self talk must be carefully crafted and memorized. It must be repeated over and over again both audibly and quietly within. It sounds nuts, but this is how you forge through the beginning stages of internet marketing online when you have little to show for a couple of months of effort. FAITH is the key.

One of the biggest reasons that good web marketers fail is not because they do not have the skills, but because they quit their internet marketing advertising strategies too soon. Their success was just around the corner and they move on to another technique, denying themselves the opportunity to succeed. You must have the “evidence of your unseen success” implanted in your mind as you proceed down the path. This kind of FAITH requires the self confidence to create belief in the achievement of your unseen goals.

Because of the brevity of this article, I cannot stress enough the importance of reviewing the “self confidence formula” defined in the book, Think and Grow Rich. The importance of self confidence is aptly described in the following poem found in the chapter on FAITH:

If you think you are beaten you are,

If you think you dare not, you don’t,

If you like to win, but you think you can’t,

It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,

For out of the world we find,

Success begins with a person’s will–

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed you are,

You’ve got to think high to rise.

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man,

But sooner or later the one who wins

Is the one who thinks he can!

Bottom line? Create FAITH as you grow in your chosen venture. Write down your chief aims and goals, memorize them and put into action the principle of self talk. If you do, you will soon evolve into a force within your affiliate internet marketing program, top tier direct sales or network marketing mlm.

What Is In It For Me

Author : Malcolm Emery

I was talking about the importance of your headline, and how emotions are what motivate people to take notice and respond to your advertising. In other words, if your advertising is boring, it won’t make money!

So this leads me on to my next point which is also crucial when trying to keep the split second of your prospect’s attention before your advertising goes in the rubbish with the rest of the clutter..

You need to remember that always, forever and ever what will most definitely be on your prospects’ minds as they go about their daily lives, is.. WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

And who can blame them! Aren’t you the same? Do you ever waste any of your precious life pouring over junk that doesn’t interest you? Stuff that’s not going to impact your life in any way, shape or form?

Well? The answer is no, of course! And neither do they.

The most important thing you’ve got to remember, and I’ve said this a thousand times before is that… It does not matter what you think.

Huh? What was that again? I just does not matter what you think your prospects want or need. But what matters, is what THEY want or need!

This is not optional here. You’ve got to be giving your clients what it is they want and desire more than their hard-earned dollars, or else they’re just not going to want to part with it!

And more importantly - it’s crucial that not only you are giving them what it is that they want, but that you are making sure they know that you are offering them what it is they want. That in your marketing you are specifically addressing their internal “What’s in it for me?”

In your advertising you simply must find a way to convey to your prospect exactly what is in it for them if they do business with you, and why they simply must seek you out and get what it is you’re offering!

So the first thing you’ve got to come to terms with, is that what they want and what they’re thinking, has nothing to do with what you think. So how are you going to know what it is they want?

Come on. you know this one!! TEST, of course!

But firstly, you have got to remember the customer is wrapped up in his or her own self-interest. They simply don’t care about your company or how much money you want to make. They want to know how much money THEY can make, how much money they can save, how much younger they can look, or a thousand and one other reasons for wanting to do business with you.

So if you are going to get their hard earned money off your prospects, you’ve got to come to them with a personal message, one which touches their emotions rather than their intellect. Even if you are sending out 50,000 letters, spend that bit extra $$$ to get personal with the people because your results will increase by 100’s of percent for your effort.

For example nice little touches you can make are…

- Using their name in a headline.

- Addressing the letter personally to them.

By customising all of your communications where possible and using the name of your prospect, it’s a lot easier to rouse a response from them - I mean, we live in such an impersonal world these days, showing you care by actually knowing their name and addressing something to them is already on the path to winning their trust.

This way, you win their trust and then you win their money.

You’ve got about 30 seconds before your hard thought-out and paid for marketing material is going in the bin, so do your best to tell your prospects right up front, what’s in it for them, and you have a better chance of getting them to continue reading.

Other ways you can do this is by trying to use short paragraphs, single sentences and bullet points, which makes your copy easier to read. Think of the bullets as “little headlines” revealing BENEFITS to the reader in having your product or service.

Naturally, different people are motivated by different benefits and that’s why you must include “benefit packed” bullet points in your copy. If you have a full page of bullets, you may want to bold alternate bullet points. This will make them easier to read.

So there’s a couple of tips to ensure that you’re appealing to your prospect’s internal “what’s in it for me?” radar… Now don’t forget to test!
