The challenge of marketing businesses during tough times is increasing and is a major concern by companies. Some companies would decide to cut on their marketing and advertising budget knowing that the market is not responsive to the advertisements. The others would take advantage of the crisis to increase the budget and aim for a better share of the pie compared to the competitors. Some will just maintain the budget. However, in the area of real estate business, there is still a need to market even during tough economic times.

If you own apartments or an apartment, you should exert an effort to still market your apartment. You should not accept the fact that the economy is gloomy and you will wait when people are ready to buy. For all you know, there are people who want to take advantage of the situation and will be interested to buy an apartment during these times because they know that the costs are lower. These people know that the crisis is a good opportunity to buy properties at lower prices compared to when businesses are booming.

Below are some tips to better market your business, specifically your apartments. Advertising and marketing are considered in these tips.

1. Maintain a high level of customer fulfillment and service

Your previous customers will never forget the kind of service that you have given them. If you made them happy during the buying and after-sale process, you can easily approach them to present good offers and deals. With good relationship that you already have established, your marketing efforts will only be minimal. Note that happy customers will always believe what you tell them. However, make sure that you are true to what you promise to deliver or else, you will lose your customer forever.

2. Increase your advertising and promotional campaign

This is very important specially if your competitors are starting to cut costs. This means better visibility for you and higher level of recall. You may not immediately get the sales that you want but you will be the first in mind when customers start to recover and consider buying an apartment again.

3. Maximize technology

Use the Internet for your marketing efforts. This is not costly and it will only require your time especially when you are starting distribute announcements of your offers and deals. You can email former clients or those that have previously inquired and inform them about the new apartments or properties on sale. Highlight the best features of your apartments and choose the best photos to show the interior, location and exterior characteristics of the place. Do not forget to give your contact details in case you will generate inquiries. You may be surprised to know that there are people who are prepared to buy an apartment even during these economically challenging times. Take advantage of these opportunities.

The secret to marketing is consistency, visibility and sustainability. You have to make sure that people know that you exist and you will be the first one that they will think of when the time comes for them to make a decision on purchasing that home. Marketing is continuous. Never get tired informing people about what you are selling. You will have good choices and you will be able to close good deals. The best thing is when these clients will come back and consider you for their next intention to buy a property.

When you apply the above tips, you can be at an advantage in promoting and marketing your apartment even during these times of crisis.

Boosting Productivity On Big Tasks Using Bite Size Pieces

You have a big job looming over your head. Maybe you need to create an ebook on a topic that will require lots of research. Or perhaps this is a personal task you need to complete, like thoroughly clean an entire apartment so you can get your rental deposit back.

Either way, you get a slight feeling of panic washing over you every time you think of the task. You feel overwhelmed. Its like this job is so big you might never finish it. And so you get paralyzed, not even sure where to start.

Sound familiar? Sure it does — weve all been there. And the next time you find yourself in that position, follow these quick and easy steps:

* Take action fast. The more time you spend thinking about a big job you have looming over your head, the greater chance you have of starting to feel overwhelmed, worried and even outright panicked.

The greatest way to stop fear in its tracks is to take action. That action starts by quickly following the next three steps and then you need to actually start working on the project itself. The sooner you do, the better youll feel.

* Slice and dice the big job into small steps. Now its time to create a to-do list. But putting huge tasks on your list (like write an ebook) will only further serve to panic you.

Instead, break the big job up into little tasks. Some of your small bite-size tasks may only take ten minutes to complete, while others could take a few hours. Just dont put anything on your list that takes more than half a day if it does, break it into smaller pieces.

* Prioritize the list. Next, prioritize your list in order of importance. If you have a chronological task (where certain things needed to be completed first before moving on to the next task), this step is easy. If nothing seems particularly more important than another step, then put the tasks you least like at the top of your list.

* Cross off anything that doesnt need to be done. Finally, cross off anything on your list that simply isnt important. If it doesnt need to get done, then it only serves to make you feel overwhelmed.

Its true — a journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step. And the faster you take that first step, the faster youll completely your journeys. In short: Speed is the key when you want to boost your productivity!
