Increase Traffic to Your Site Free

I’ve been marketing online for around 3 years now, and have made a considerable income doing so. Now the biggest problem I see with most new internet marketers is being able to increase traffic to their site, or get any traffic at all. You hear of people all the time going months or even years, marketing online, and never seeing any traffic or money for their efforts for that matter. There’s a good chance these people aren’t leveraging the free traffic tactics to bring a lot of traffic in!

First and foremost, one of the quickest ways to increase traffic for your site is to write articles. Now there are SEVERAL online articles submission sites. My personal favorites are EzineArticles, GoArticles, and Amazines. Now, like I said, there is a ton of free submission sites you can submit to, to increase the traffic to your site.

I was having a real hard time getting my articles submitted at first, and then my mentor, Darren Salkeld, told me to just write as though I was giving people information. This is more like writing a review as a third person about your product or service. When I changed my thinking about writing these articles, my submission rate sky rocketed. One the posts I recently wrote received one hundred and sixty views in the first hour of submitting it.

Now obviously that example is a little out of the ordinary, but even if your getting twenty hits a week on one article, what happens when you have a hundred articles revolving somewhere online. The possibilities are astronomical.

Another way to get free traffic to your site is social media sites. Social media sites include sites like Facebook, Myspace, BeBo, etc. Facebook alone gets 18 million views a day. Social network marketing has opened up the playing field for beginner and guru a like. The plain has now been leveled and you can disguise the limit.

A third way to bring in some free traffic is through videos or “attraction marketing”. Videos are huge because it gives that personal relationship to the people watching because they can see you, and feel out what your all about. This is a must now a days because you have to make relationships with people. I’m sure you’ve heard of YouTube. This is the first place I would start with. This site is in the top ten most visited sites on the web. It accounts for over 60% of all videos watched on the internet and gets more than 100 million hits per day. If you can’t see the potential here you need to be doing something else with your time.

Now these by no means are all tactics at getting free traffic to your site, but they are a good start. More to come stay tuned in the next few days!

A New Link Building Technique Sweeping the Web

Link building techniques have been part of the SEO game for a long time now, however the techniques that worked 3 years ago no longer work as well today and some not at all. You see Google are in a constant battle with spam and therefore their algorithm has to develop to take this into account. Do Google still suffer with spam attacks? Of course but in my opinion they are getting better and better.

It is no longer good enough to generate thousands of site wide links on sites such as your friends blogs, in fact evidence recently collected has shown Google giving very little credit to site wide links and links in footers, instead they are preferring links given in the general flow of content. Google sees these types of links as more beneficial as they are more likely to be editorially given.

So the big question is how do we go about getting these strong editorial links? Well the first option is the old Matt Cutts method, create great content or a great resource and the links will come. This is too simplistic and any good SEO knows that more is needed to rank for competitive terms. Blog carnivals are another great option, a link in the body of the content, anchored with your choice of keywords, great.

However, there is a method that is becoming increasingly popular and is one hundred percent white hat, this means it is fully in line with Googles guidelines and in fact has been around a while. You simply look for blogs that are relevant to your site, email the webmaster and offer to write some unique content in return for link back to your site with the anchor text of your choice.

This is a great way of link building and acts very much in the same way as guest posting. You get an optimised piece of content on a relevant domain with an anchor text of your choice in the middle of the body content. This is editorial and it is pretty much natural, a link for content. In my opinion getting links in the content of other articles and blogs is one of the best ways to link build and if you create a page for a popular blog not only will you get a great link but you will also benefit from some targeted traffic.

So when it comes to building links forget about high PR pages or site wide links, instead be thinking about natural looking links with real editorial value. This is sure to increase rank for your chosen keywords within Google and drive more qualified traffic to your pages.

SEO (search engine optimization) is the bed rock of online marketing. In online marketing, it is all about getting the most targeted traffic to your website and SEO can definitely help you to achieve this. SEO is the process of improving the volume of traffic to your website from search engines via natural search results.

To get your website to rank high on search results, you need to implement SEO. SEO is not about how beautiful your web design is. You can find some big companies that use Flash and other fancy technologies to make their websites beautiful but you can’t find them anywhere on search engines. Only the experienced optimizers will know how to optimize your website and increase the overall organic traffic to it.

SEO is a tedious process as it requires constant monitoring and work. Therefore, if you are not well-verse at SEO, you should outsource this task to a SEO company. Now, let me share with you some tips to find the right company that can deliver results for you.

1. Ask them what they think about SEO. If the company guarantees you rankings for certain keywords, you should walk away from them. SEO is more than just keyword guarantee. If what they know is only about keyword guarantee, then they are shortchanging you. Moreover, no one can guarantee rankings when it comes to SEO unless they are from Google.

2. Find out how long they have been in the SEO business. You need an experienced company to work on your website. You should find a company that has at least 3 years of experience in the SEO business.

3. Find out what their clients say about them. You should ask for references and testimonials from their past clients. There is no point only hearing what the company says. Also, you should look at their past works to verify their capability. Action speaks louder than words.

4. The SEO company should involve you during the optimization process. They should not hide anything from you and nothing should be done without your knowledge.

5. Find out what strategies will they be using to optimize your website. Some companies use black hat SEO methods that can get your website banned from search engines. Therefore, it is extremely important that you find out a little bit about black hat methods and ask the company to explain their strategy. In this case, you will be able to know whether your website is in safe hands.

6. The company should track and record optimization results. They should be using tracking tools to measure traffic, rankings and conversions. You should get a monthly or quarterly report from them.

SEO is very important to your business. By optimizing your website, you will get more targeted traffic to your site and boost your sales.
