So What s Your Origin Story

In marketing and sales, it pays to have an Origin Story. In fact, it pays very handsomely.

So what’s an ORIGIN story? I’ll explain by way of example.

In my own case. The fact that I failed dismally at school. The Fact that I was fired at the age of 22, leaving me with $500 in the bank, a new house and land package mortgage to take care of, and a wife keen to become pregnant… All of which was an opportunity disguised as an obstacle.

The fact that I, without having read a book until the age of 41, bought and sold 15 odd businesses and made a small fortune in the process. Even, the Fact that my father was an abusive alcoholic, and 55 when I was born.

Are all part of my ORIGIN story. Your Origin story could be that you were a 60 kilo male weakling that was sick of getting sand kicked in your face and 10 years later because of it, you’re now Mr. Universe.

One way I describe all of this, is that your Liabilities are often your Opportunity. Looking around my Rebellious Millionaire group, in fact most successful people and businesses, have a similar ORIGIN story to hang their hat on. The reason your ORIGIN story or liabilities are such a powerful marketing tool, is because people (customers, clients, even the opposite sex) empathise with imperfection.

In fact, they love to know you’re far from perfect, and that you’re prepared to reveal your soul.Every time I’ve done so, has resulted in more positive comments (and sales for that matter) than anything or any other technique I could use. I’ll now give you a famous ORIGIN story example. I believe the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill has sold something like 30 million copies per year for the past 50 odd years.

All with very little marketing. Frankly, without the ORIGIN story I’ll describe here, I suspect it would be lucky to have sold a handful. On a dark and stormy night in 1917 a young guy who was trying to get his footing as a writer, got an interview at the home of America’s first billionaire Andrew Carnegie.

Taking a liking to this young lad, Carnegie issued him a challenge, and that was to write about the success commonalities of 500 odd of the greatest achievers of that time, through observing, interviewing and questioning this group.

Carnegie would provide him with an introduction to the high achievers, but pay him nothing for his efforts. What Hill didn’t realise at the time, was that he had 60 seconds to reply as to whether he wanted to take up the challenge.

Some 20 years later in 1937, thanks to all the doors that Carnegie opened to Napoleon Hill, the book “Think and Grow Rich” was finally published. I promise you, without the intriguing Carnegie - Hill ORIGIN story, we would not be talking about “Think and Grow Rich” here, nor would it have enjoyed the fraction of success it has.

My advice to you, is not to underestimate the value of your ORIGIN story, nor the power of revealing your liabilities. We all love stories, particularly human interest ones that reveal your flaws. After all, no one’s perfect.

How Does Clickbank Work?

Clickbank is a service that connects people who are trying to sell products with those who wish to buy or promote them. It sounds like a simple enough concept but there are plenty of competitors that fail to measure up to the successful business plan offered by Clickbank.

There are many ways to make this service work for you. Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that Clickbank is the best and largest service of its kind on the web today. Clickbank is currently home to more than 10,000 digital products and adding to their listing of products each and every day.

So, how does it work?

Clickbank is essentially a database of products being offered for sale. It connects those wishing to sell these products with publishers that are willing and eager to promote these products for a percentage of the proceeds. In addition, Clickbank introduces product creators to buyers who are willing to make the purchase of their products directly from Clickbank.

Clickbank works because it is built on a platform that works. Everyone gets paid, the products get delivered, and everyone is able to benefit from the experience. Clickbank is proud that in 10 years they have never been late on a payment. When you consider the sheer volume of transactions that are made on a daily basis through the Clickbank marketplace this is not an accomplishment to be taken lightly.

It is possible to also handle recurring billing memberships through the Clickbank marketplace in addition to the countless one time purchases that can be made. It is possible to offer up to 500 products per Clickbank account. This can bring in a great amount of money if you offer a few quality products that invite recurring billing or for affiliates who promote products with recurring billing.

More importantly, Clickbank handles the finances leaving you to focus on product creation or promotion. Product creators do not need to worry over affiliate payouts. Instead, Clickbank handles the details and allows you to do what you do best rather than wasting valuable time and resources trying to create a platform that takes payments, delivers products, issues refunds when needed, and pays affiliates who have made sales of your products.

All of this is done for a fraction of the total price of the products sold. It seems like such a small price to pay in light of all the benefits that doing business through Clickbank presents. Check it out today and see what Clickbank has to offer.
